Organic Basil, Ocimum Basilicum, Sustainable Farm Grown Herbs
Basil is one of the must-have annual kitchen herbs and maybe the most famous in the Mediterranean cuisine. It has been used since ancient times (apparently remains of basil were found in Egyptian burial chambers). Cultivated in numerous forms and flavours around the globe, Basil contributes with its aromatic taste and its shiny, oval leaves to large variety of dishes. Salads, soups, sauces including the well-known Pesto, chicken and many more are the perfect partners for this one. Basil is also an ingredient in the world-renowned French herb mix “Herbes de Provence”.
There are several medicinal uses that are claimed for basil as well (treatment of vomiting, headache and nervous stress). It can also be used as an insect repellant.

Our organic certification is from PACS Certification Society in BC, Canada and our herb drying facility is approved by Interior Health.
We are a small-scale producer of culinary and medicinal herbs. All herbs are grown on our certified organic farm in British Columbia and are hand harvested, dried, and packaged on site in a dedicated approved facility. Our products are picked at their peak and dried in small batches to retain shape and flavour.
Our farm also uses regenerative farming practices, such as using animals (goats, sheep, pigs) to maintain and prepare new beds. This ensures that not only are we organic, but no heavy machinery ever touches the soil, and we maintain a healthy soil ecosystem.
