Working at the Farm

planting herbs

Are you interested in spending some time at Little Piece of Paradise Farm? Because, we would love to have you!

Minimum stay is 10 days as harvesting herbs can require training but we are always looking for help on the farm as all our herbs are planted by hand, hand-harvested and processed, and we do all our weeding by hand. We have a paid employees and work/living programs.
We also welcome other help and have had volunteers/workers help with everything from photography, to identification of new plants, to SEO.

Most of our volunteers/workers come through the WWOOFing program where helpers work for 3 days a week planting/weeding/doing animal care/helping around the farm in exchange for room/board. You stay in our retro RV or large canvas tent located beside the house, have your own bathroom/shower inside, and eat meals with our family (or course we are accommodating if you'd like to eat on your own for some meals).

During your free time you can use the bikes we have for helpers, float down the Slocan river bordering the property, visit the nearby cultural capital of the Kootenays in Nelson, go for a walk along the nearby Rail Trail, swim in our pool or the river, go on a hike in the surrounding area or just relax around the farm.
